I Tell You. You Decide If You Care.

So, this is sort of a follow-up to my earlier post on Fantasy RPG Armor for women . This is about Martina at  Nerdforge , and all the awesome shit she makes. Specifically, here are her videos where she makes her own armor and then she makes a shield. She also has videos where she makes tomes, wizard staffs, and all kinds of awesome shit. Frankly, I get a kick out of trying to picture her workshop. Remember He-Man?  Or She-Ra?  I think everyone of a certain age grew up with the cartoon, and the toys.   And then the movie .  Oy, what a underdone job that movie was. The Collected Quotes Skeletor had some great lines.  He was a bit of a whiner, but that was part of his villainous charm.  Sometimes he was a downright badass.  But, most of the time, he was a bit of a whiner (he was  a children's cartoon character, after all, meant to sell toys .)

Cosplay is not just a craft, or an artform, it's also performance art! Actually, judging by people like Jessica Nigri or Lex , it is also possible - in extremely rare instances - for it to be profitable. Meanwhile, here is a Top 10 vid to give you an idea of how much work goes into making this a serious profession. And here is an image of Jessica Nigri , just so you know what I mean when I say she takes her cosplay seriously, and is brilliant at it.

Okay, you just know anything called " IcarusPedia " is going to pop-up on my radar, right? ;-) Actually, the site is about the Kid Icarus video game series from Nintendo. I've never owned a Nintendo, and never played the game, but I've fallen in love with this website. The goddess Viridi , from Kid Icarus. I love anime and manga.  I love comic books.  I lost track of how much time I wasted wiki-walking on this site, but it was worth it ;-)
