I Tell You. You Decide If You Care.

Lex is a genius. I've talked about her before . I am professional cynic. Humanity is a cesspit, and I have blogs calling people out for being dirt and how they can and should be better . Lex has risen above human nature to bitch and whine. Lex is a rare gem, and I'm crying because she is the "make the world a better place" genius I aspire to be. In his movie, I Am , Tom Shadyac calls out unbridled greed as a genuine mental illness, and takes us all to task for tolerating letting the mentally ill run and control the nation, and world. Director Tom Shadyac speaks with intellectual and spiritual leaders about what's wrong with our world and how we can improve both it and the way we live in it. It's a damn good movie.

I grew up Christian, and never really stopped being Christian, although I don't practice any of the dogma or rituals of the established branches. I also rant about other religions. Humans have an incredible capacity to be selfish tits, who cruelly ignore the cruelty of others. It's all some petty emotional game. I ran across this totally by random, but it's an excellent hammering home of the simple historical truth that the German Nazis committed mass murder of millions of people by using poison gas chambers .  Philosophically speaking, one of the few things more horrible than cruelty is pretending it never happened. The old line "those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it," holds true time and time again.  As a species, we need to accept the horrible shit we've done, so that we stop doing it over and over. As a species, we need to accept the horrible shit we've done, so that we stop letting ourselves do it to us over and over.  But, that's a drift into It's Class Warfare, Bitches.

Okay, seriously, sometimes things just don't need any additional explanatory text, but just in case you've been living under a rock, the Pastafarians are a running gag, that started as a response to something really Stupid. The joke has taken on a life of its own. I love this joke. I've put it on my wishlist to get my certificate of ordination ;-)
